Financial Decision-Making Courses Starting Soon
We're launching three intensive programmes starting autumn 2025. These aren't quick fixes or overnight transformations—they're structured learning experiences designed for people who want to understand the mechanics behind better financial choices.
What's Coming Up
Each course runs for several months because that's how long it actually takes to build new thinking patterns. We start with foundational concepts and gradually work through real-world scenarios you'll recognize from your own life.
Classes are kept small. You'll work through case studies, participate in group discussions, and have time to apply what you're learning to your specific situation.

Foundations of Financial Reasoning
This is where most people should start. We cover cognitive biases that trip up decision-making, how to evaluate trade-offs, and frameworks for thinking through choices when there's no obvious right answer. It's not about memorizing rules—it's about developing judgment.
You'll leave with a clearer understanding of how you currently make decisions and some practical tools for improving that process. Most participants find they start noticing patterns in their thinking they'd never spotted before.
Risk Assessment in Personal Finance
Risk is everywhere, but most of us handle it intuitively rather than systematically. This course teaches you to identify different types of risk, quantify them when possible, and make choices that align with your actual tolerance and circumstances.
We work through real scenarios involving investments, insurance, career decisions, and major purchases. You'll learn to separate emotional reactions from analytical assessment, which turns out to be harder than it sounds.
Long-Term Planning and Strategy
Most financial advice focuses on tactics. This course is about strategy—setting meaningful goals, creating flexible plans that can adapt to changing circumstances, and building systems that support better decisions over years rather than months.
We'll tackle retirement planning, education funding, major life transitions, and how to balance competing priorities. The goal isn't to create the perfect plan—it's to develop the skills to adjust your plan as life unfolds.
Who's Teaching These Courses
Our instructors have spent years working directly with individuals on financial decisions. They've seen what works, what doesn't, and what mistakes people make repeatedly. More importantly, they're good at explaining complex ideas without dumbing them down.

Lennox Whitford
Behavioral Finance SpecialistLennox spent twelve years as a financial counselor before transitioning to education. She's particularly interested in why smart people make predictable mistakes and how to interrupt those patterns. Her teaching style is direct but patient.

Harvie Drummond
